The ‘Digital Device and Innovation Expo-2019′ will be held in the capital Dhaka. The three-day exhibition will run from 14 to 16 October at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC). The exhibition is being organized by the government’s ICT department. Bangladesh High-Tech Park Authority, Bangladesh Computer Association (BCS) and Startup Bangladesh.
The theme of the exhibition, organized to take the ICT industry to the next level, has been defined as ‘Made in Bangladesh: Nothing is impossible’.
All the ICT industry traders will showcase the country’s success by displaying various products related to ICT industry and ICT services together at this three-day expo. In addition, a large number of investors, both local and foreign, will attend the expo. Where they can see and experience local innovations. During the event, ten years of digital Bangladesh’s successes will be highlighted through various seminars and breakout sessions.
Almost all the major ICT products and services producing companies in the country such as Walton, Samsung, Symphony, Telephone Industries, Techno Mobile, Vivo, LG, Netel and Amra will participate in the Expo. Participants will showcase their services and key equipment production (OEM), security and supervision issues, their enterprise solution, telecom, cloud computing, government services, gaming-related products.
BCS president. Shahid-ul-Munir said that the Bangladesh Computer Association, which was established in the 5th, has been organizing regular exhibition of information technology. The exhibition will be educational for everyone to accelerate the country’s progress in ICT.
And so with the participation of local technology makers, Digital Device and Innovation Expo is going to be organized for the first time to get a better idea of the technology created in the country. Guests from all over the world will also get an idea of the success of the sector, which is fast becoming rich in the country.
The AUTI Innovation Lab of the Government of Bangladesh will showcase their initiatives in the fields of technology, agriculture, employment, environment, empowerment of girls, health, law, tourism etc. Besides displaying merchandise made by local entrepreneurs, the participation of young people interested in the technology of the country will be equally encouraged during the expo.
Activation programs will be run at a number of educational institutions. Where students will have the opportunity to pitch their products. The top 10 innovations selected from the activation programs will be displayed at the expo. The top 10 young innovators will be awarded the Bangabandhu Innovation Grant (BIG) after the exhibition is over.
The fair authorities hope that the expo will help Bangladeshi ICTs, telco and electronics producers promote their products to consumers worldwide.
The event will be jointly supported by the ICT Department’s AUTI project; Ministry of Education, Office of the Certifying Authority Regulator (Controller of Certifying Authorities); Bangladesh Computer Council in collaboration with Department of Agriculture Extension (GoB) and Bangladesh Software and Information Services (BASIS) of the Government of Bangladesh; Bangladesh Association of Call Centers and Outsourcing; Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB); Bangladesh ICT Journalist Forum (BIJF) and CTO Forum Bangladesh.
